What are Varicose-Veins?
The varicose vein is a condition that affects the veins of the body and makes them appear bulging, bluish and very prominently visible under the skin. This condition predominantly affects the legs and feet. Varicose veins occur when your veins become swollen and get twisted. Varicose veins on the surface network of veins may be mild and relatively harmless since they are caused by the overfilling of blood. However, if varicose veins affect the deeper network of veins, it can cause pain, discomfort and some serious problems.
This condition generally affects adults and women are more likely to be affected than men. Do not worry as the varicose vein can be easily treated with a varicose vein laser surgery.

  • Prominent veins- The condition causes your veins to become prominent since there is an overflow of blood. The veins appear to be bulging and become either blue or purple in colour.
  • Twisted veins -Varicose veins cause your veins to twist and entangle with each other. On the surface under the skin, this symptom is not as serious however, it can cause a lot of pain when it affects the inner veins of the leg.
  • Leg pain and heaviness- Feeling heavy in the legs and sudden pains in the leg are symptoms of varicose veins.

  • Skin discolouration- The irregular blood flow and twisted veins in the affected area can result in the discolouration of the skin around the varicose veins.
